Living an ART filled life...“Creativity is a God-given ability to take something ordinary and make it into something special. It is an openness to doing old things new ways…The creative spirit is part of our heritage as children of the One who created all things. And nurturing our creativity is part of our responsibility as stewards of God’s good gifts.” - Emilie Barnes, The Spirit of Loveline

“HE WHO SENT ME IS TRUE” -JESUS

“God the Father had been true to His promise. He had sent His Son for the salvation of mankind.  Yet, many who walked and talked with Jesus—who heard Him testify repeatedly that He was the sent One—did not believe.” -Kim Cash Tate

Jesus remained under God’s authority. He makes this clear over and over in scripture. Much of the mystery of the trinity will remain a mystery while we are on this earth, but we can rest in God’s Word because He is proven to be Faithful, Righteous and Just…motivated by love.
“My teaching is not Mine, but His who sent Me” (John 7:16).
“… but He who is seeking the glory of the One who sent Him, He is true… ” (John 7:18).
“I know Him, because I am from Him, and He sent Me” (John 7:29).
“For a little while longer I am with you, then I go to Him who sent Me” (John 7:33).
And this one:  “I have not come of Myself, but He who sent me is true…” (John 7:28).

Jesus and the Father are of one purpose. Thepurpose was made complete in Jesus

God the Father had made a promise…He made a covenant with Abram.

“Now the Lord said to Abram, “Go from your country and your kindred and your father’s house to the land that I will show you. And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and him who dishonors you I will curse, and pin you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”

That covenant was made complete in Jesus.

Not only did the Father make a covenant with Abram, but He kept both “ends” of the agreement.

Through His actions He said to Abram…You will keep this covenant, and if you do not, I will pay the price with my blood.

Our good Father knows that we will “miss the mark.” He allowed us free will with full knowledge of our sin. From His covenant with Abram, we can see that He not only wished to bless His people, but He made a way that was secure, regardless of our missteps. As His children, as His daughters, we are completely “covered” under His love and protection.

I could relate to Kim’s story about her Dad, the principal. My Dad was a principal too, and I know that feeling of importance…stepping into the arena of “his authority” (his school) I felt important, special, and shielded from danger…I was the daughter of The “boss.”

In Christ, WE are ALL the Daughter’s of the Boss:) We can rest in His great love for us…He is a promise keeper and the ONE who would rather die than be without us.

This truth is hard for us to believe…not unlike the Jews who refused to believe that the Savior was before them.

As we experience God’s faithfulness in our lives…as it becomes personal, we will gain confidence in our own faith.  It takes practice…the practice of “letting go and letting God.” He is a promise keeper, and as we trust Him with each baby step we take, we will experience

the one who is TRUE.
