DAY 5 / iPad Journaling through John / with SHE READS TRUTH app
So, here we are on Day 5. 1 week in the book of John!
The Lord promises that as we draw near to Him, He will draw near to us.
If you are joining me in this study, or are “FOCUSING” /ABIDING using any other study or devotional, I know that the Lord has spoken truth and encouragement to you!
Oh, how often I get busy with the details of life, and SLIP RIGHT OUT OF FOCUS! And when that happens…sin follows. Whether it’s a “shortened temper” that leads to harsh words, or the worship of idols (placing people or things before God). Sometimes, though I hate to admit it, I just plain seek glory for myself. That is NEVER the purpose the Lord has called me to!
Praying, studying, and praying again…lifts my focus to where it should be!
In John 5 we can see that Jesus preached and lived LOVE before the LAW. The law is for us to understand how to better love…but, the LOVE ALWAYS COMES FIRST. I also am encouraged by His mention of ALWAYS doing the Father’s business. We can know then, that our Father’s business is LOVE, and WE should be ALL ABOUT THAT BUSINESS!
I am so grateful that we have a God who loved us FIRST!
Below you can find both the PDF file and the png for Day 5 of the bullet journaling page that goes along with our study found at SHE READS TRUTH.COM.

ALONG with the journaling pages, I am creating DOODLE 101’S to go along with the study.
With the image free page, you can draw your own DOODLES using the doodle 101’s below!
I love the example that Kim shared about finding her Bible scribbled upon…how naturally… her first response was to be angry and frustrated…yet, when she PAUSED, allowing room for the Holy Spirit to move, she saw a new perspective! (Focus) The Lord gave her insight to the motivation behind her daughter’s scribbling..it wasn’t scribbling. She was mimicking her Mama’s worship!!! That absolutely brings me to tears!
We can be so quick to react, before we “see” the heart of the matter.
God turned that around and gave her a “teachable moment” instead of a wound! God is so SWEET AND GENTLE TO US when we seek Him!!!!
I have not posted all my notes but will if it is a help to you!
Please keep in touch and let me know how your study is going! It’s such an encouragement to see God’s glory in others! I know that He is revealing Himself to you in a personal way…meeting you wherever you are, to provide exactly what you need. God meets us in our obedience!
