I just want to let all of you sweet followers know that I will not be posting for a few days.
My precious Mother in law Carolyn Carroll, has gone home to be with her Lord.
She was a blessing to all who knew her. In the midst of great physical challenges throughout her life, she found joy, and shared it generously. She is and always will be adored by her whole family.
The photo above is the image I have in my mind when I think about Jacob’s ladder. (Genesis 28) I imagine her (with new legs) walking up that ladder to the beginning of her story.
“But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope. For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep. For this we declare to you by a word from the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. Therefore encourage one another with these words.” – 1 Thessalonians 4
-by C.S. Lewis at the end of his Chronicles of Narnia:
“…the things that began to happen after that were so great and beautiful that I cannot write them. And for us this is the end of all the stories, and we can most truly say that they all lived happily ever after. But for them it was only the beginning of the real story. All their life in this world and all their adventures in Narnia had only been the cover and the title page: now at last they were beginning Chapter One of the Great Story which no one on earth has read: which goes on forever: in which every chapter is better than the one before”
May this be an encouragement to us all:)
