Bible Art Journaling
LIfe has been busy and full of change, so I have been away from my blog.
Nice to be back:)
So….I need to offer up a BIG thanks to Shanna Noel of “Illustrated Faith” for helping me make the connection between my passion for worship, bible study, creating and teaching! Wow…I’m very thankful for the way she has put herself out there, reaching thousands of others to bridge this same gap. Thank you Shanna!
Every day I look for ways that I can create. I don’t think I have anything on the left side of my brain…it’s all on the right:) I have been doodling and lettering since grade school, and I admit I have a problem with crafting! For the last several years I have been a Designer for various Craft companies and have had the opportunity to work with many fun mixed media products. I teach mixed media and cooking classes in my home. I love to create and I love to teach.
I know that this creative gene comes from my Father:)
We have a creative God…one just has to look from the majestic mountainside to the metamorphosis of a butterfly…from the transparent bioluminescence of a jellyfish, to a bird that can talk…just to name a few creative miracles from our Father’s hands.
I’m not quite sure why it has taken me so long to connect my intense desire to create with my passion for worship…but Bible Art Journaling has deepened my connection to God’s written word as He allows imagery and color to expand His revelation to touch other senses.
It is a process that begins with the Holy Spirit through prayer. Next, studying each verse… listening…writing…questioning…listening some more…then creating a memorial to be remembered. Not only by me, but someday by my children, I hope. It is a time of worship.
I have been teaching Bible Art Journaling Classes, and I am loving every minute!
I am working on ways to help other find success in the process of creating. I will be posting more “Doodle Helps” in the near future.
Hope you enjoy what I’ve put together for you:)
